In 2015, CPK Shea Essentials was born when I found myself searching high and low to cure myself of painful endometriosis. During my research, it was understood that high preservative foods and toxic skin care products played a part in hormone imbalance which led to inflammation and eventually pain. I eliminated food-like substances by cooking real foods at home. Natural skin care availibility, at the time, wasn't what is it today. I needed something. I began to research how to make your own lotions and came across my first body butter recipe. I tweaked this recipe numerous times. The lifestyle change was working. the pain from my endometriosis was decreasing. It was one day at work, at Women's Health Specialists, the doctor I worked for, tried some of the body butter I had stored in a small mason jar. She really liked it! She asked me could I make her 100 small jars to pass out at her church. I did. That was my first sale! Sadly, I misspelled my company name on the label. Those 100 people were lost. But I wasn't. I kept going. If these products could help me, imagine who else it could help.
